German Translation of Engineering Manuals
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
I need several engineering technical manuals currently in English rendered into flawless, industry-appropriate German. Accuracy is critical: tables, schematics, warnings, torque values, and any specialised terminology must read as if the documents were originally drafted for a German-speaking engineering team.
Please keep every heading level, figure reference and pagination consistent with the source so the finished files can drop straight back into our documentation set without reformatting. I will supply the manuals in editable Word and PDF; return the German versions in the same formats.
A solid background in engineering or proven experience translating comparable technical manuals is essential. If you have worked with DIN or ISO standards terminology, let me know—those references appear throughout.
When you reply, tell me:
• how you ensure technical accuracy (glossaries, CAT tools, peer review, etc.)
• your usual turnaround for roughly 10 000 source words
• one or two recent engineering projects you have translated
I will share a short sample page so you can demonstrate style and terminology choices before we finalise the assignment.
