Generator Set Manual Consolidation

Job ID: 40184250

Budget: $250 – $750 CAD

I have several OEM manuals for the engine, alternator, controller and ancillary systems of our new generator set. What I need is one clear, logically structured manual written in a single voice that mirrors the quality of CAT or Cummins documentation (I will share those references).

Scope of work
• Analyse the source PDFs and Word files I provide and map out overlapping or conflicting content.
• Draft a master outline aimed at technicians: the final book must flow from safety → detailed installation procedures → control schemes → troubleshooting guides → maintenance schedules, and close with a glossary and preface.
• Rewrite or condense where necessary so terminology, torque values, warnings and formatting stay consistent across all sections.
• Supply the finished document in fully editable Word format, using styles so future revisions are painless.

Acceptance criteria
– Content is technically accurate against every OEM source supplied.
– Layout, figure numbering and cross-references work in Word without manual fixing.
– Language, icons and safety conventions match the reference manuals I send.

I will issue an NDA before sharing the material. Let me know your experience with heavy-equipment or power-generation documentation and your estimated turnaround time for each draft stage.
