Format User Manual Snippets
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
I’m updating a set of user manuals and need an extra pair of hands to tidy up the technical sections. Your main task is to comb through each chapter, locate every code block, and re-format it into clean, easy-to-read plain text. No Markdown, no HTML—just straightforward text that copies perfectly into terminals or editors without carrying hidden tags.
Beyond the code itself, I’d like each procedure in the manual to read like a smooth, sequential recipe. That means:
• Step-by-step instructions only (this is the single required element right now).
Screenshots or troubleshooting sections aren’t needed for this phase, so you can ignore any placeholders you see for those.
Deliverables
1. Updated source files with all code snippets converted to plain text and indented consistently.
2. A quick change log noting which pages or sections you touched so I can review them rapidly.
Acceptance criteria
• Every snippet renders exactly as plain text when pasted into Notepad or a terminal.
• No stray Markdown or HTML symbols remain.
• Steps flow in logical order and reference the correct snippet names.
If you’re comfortable navigating technical prose, spotting formatting quirks, and keeping a meticulous audit trail, this should be a straightforward gig. Let me know your timeline and any clarifying questions, and I’ll share the files right away.
