Fiber Drilling Safety Manual Creation

Job ID: 40489533

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I have gathered extensive text, charts and photos covering horizontal drilling for fiber-optic installations—everything from strike/hit protocols to daily job-site checklists. What I need now is a polished, fully structured training and safety manual that speaks to a mixed audience of crew members, inspectors, construction managers and project managers.

Here is what I’m after:
• A clean, professional layout in Word (and exported PDF) complete with an auto-generated table of contents, consistent headers/footers and clear section numbering.
• Integration of all content I supply—installation procedures, detailed safety protocols, strike-avoidance guidance, and defined crew responsibilities—plus any industry-standard best practices you can suggest to fill gaps or modernise the material.
• High-resolution placement of the photos and diagrams I provide, captioned and referenced in the text.
• Distinct call-outs or coloured boxes to highlight critical warnings and PPE requirements.
• A roles-and-responsibilities matrix so every team member can see at a glance what is expected of them before, during and after a bore.

I’m open to your recommendations on structure, style guide and visual hierarchy; the only must-have is that the finished document be easy to navigate on both desktop and tablet in the field.

Acceptance criteria:
1. Word source file and press-ready PDF delivered.
2. Clickable TOC and internal links verified.
3. All supplied data included accurately; proposed additions reviewed with me before final layout.
4. Formatting consistent across headings, lists and tables.

If you have experience creating HSE or utility construction manuals, especially for directional drilling or telecom, let me know and share a sample. I’m ready to forward the raw content and move quickly to first draft.
