Experienced Spanish to English Translator – Software Products

Project Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Spanish to English translator with a strong background in software localization. This is a long-term, ongoing freelance project involving the translation of software product content, including user interfaces, feature descriptions, technical documentation, and customer-facing materials.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in both languages, with a strong understanding of software terminology, and be capable of delivering clear, natural, and technically accurate English translations.
Project Scope:

What You’ll Be Translating:
-User interface (UI) and in-app copy
-Product descriptions and feature summaries
-Technical documentation and help center articles
-Marketing and release notes for digital products
Key Responsibilities:
-Translate software-related materials from Spanish to English with a focus on clarity and technical accuracy
-Ensure content reads naturally to an English-speaking, tech-savvy audience
-Edit and proofread translations for consistency and grammatical correctness
-Collaborate asynchronously via provided guidelines and style references
Skills Required:
-Fluent English (native level) and advanced Spanish proficiency
-Proven experience translating for software, SaaS, or IT-related products
-Strong skills in editing and proofreading
-Familiarity with common software and tech terminology
-Detail-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines
Nice to Have:
-Experience with tools like Smartling, Lokalise, or Crowdin
-Background in technical writing or UX writing
-Basic understanding of HTML, Markdown, or JSON structures
