Summary
Seeking an experienced technical author who can write full-length, publishable books on Data Literacy & Governance and AI Literacy/Governance (plus optional advanced AI booklets), produce clear one-page visuals, annotated illustrations, slide-ready figures, and assessment/certification-ready artefacts — working from existing research resources I will provide.
I have strong research resources and domain material but need skilled writers to turn them into readable, practical books that follow a Dummy→Hero learning arc: instantly graspable visuals and explanations plus rigorous, implementation-ready depth (templates, checklists, exercises). Prices in the market are high — I’m looking for smart, efficient professionals who can deliver high-quality manuscripts and visual assets at reasonable, agreed rates.
Deliverables (per book — baseline)
Complete manuscript (60k–90k words depending on scope) — chaptered, edited, and ready for publisher submission.
Chapter-by-chapter slide deck (editable PPTX / Google Slides) — 10–25 slides per chapter, speaker notes. (optional, can come in phase 2)
One-page visual primer (infographic-style) for every chapter (source files + PNG/PDF).
Illustrated figures and annotated diagrams (vector or high-res PNG + source).
Practical artefacts: templates (DPIA, audit packs, checklists), homework exercises, quizzes, capstone project and rubrics.
References, suggested reading, and in-text citation notes (publisher-ready).
Required skills & experience
Proven experience writing long-form technical books (tech, ML, data, security, privacy) — show 1–2 published books or near-complete manuscripts in portfolio.
Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, data governance, privacy risk and security for modern data systems.
Strong instructional design instincts — able to convert complex topics into layered Dummy→Hero lessons while preserving technical rigor.
Excellent writing and editorial judgment; impeccable English.
Ability to create or coordinate clear one-page visuals and annotated diagrams (PowerPoint or vector source files). If you don’t design visuals yourself, you must coordinate and deliver direction to a designer and QA the results.
Comfortable producing assessment items, homework, and certification rubrics.
Ability to work iteratively with the client and meet deadlines.
Good project communication (weekly check-ins, trackable milestones).
Nice-to-have (not mandatory)
Prior publishing relationships or experience with technical publishers.
Experience producing course materials, SCORM packaging, or LMS-ready content. (optional)
Familiarity with governance/privacy standards and frameworks.
