English Tech Manuals to Japanese
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
I have several technology-related user manuals written in English that need to be rendered into clear, accurate Japanese. These documents are packed with product specifications, step-by-step operating procedures, safety notes, and a few interface screenshots. My priority is preserving every technical nuance while still producing copy that reads naturally to native Japanese engineers and end-users.
Here’s what I’m expecting:
• A faithful translation of all text, tables, call-outs, and captions, delivered in the original layout where possible (InDesign and PDF files are available).
• Consistent terminology across the manuals—if you work with Trados, MemoQ, or another CAT tool, please leverage translation memory and glossaries to keep key terms uniform.
• A quick QA pass for linguistic accuracy and formatting so nothing breaks when we import the files back into our documentation system.
If you have a background in technology documentation and can share samples of similar English→Japanese work, I’d love to review them. Turnaround time is flexible but I do want an upfront estimate of how long you’ll need per 1,000 source words. Let’s make these manuals flawless for our Japanese users.
