Engineering Technical Writer Needed
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m looking for a skilled writer who can craft clear, accurate technical content for an engineering audience. The work revolves around translating complex engineering concepts into well-structured documents that are easy for both specialists and non-specialists to follow.
What I need
• Thorough research on the assigned topic to ensure factual accuracy and up-to-date references.
• A concise, logically organized manuscript (approximately 1,500–2,000 words unless otherwise agreed) that explains key principles, methodology, and practical applications.
• Proper use of diagrams, tables, or equations where they add clarity.
• Consistent technical tone, free of jargon where possible, and compliant with standard engineering style guides (e.g., IEEE or ASME citation format).
Deliverables
1. Outline for approval before drafting.
2. Draft document in Word or Google Docs, including in-text citations.
3. Final, proofread version in PDF and editable format.
4. Reference list formatted to the chosen style guide.
I will supply the core topic, any proprietary data, and preferred style references once we start. If you have experience writing white papers, user manuals, or technical reports for engineering projects, I’d love to see samples. Turnaround time is negotiable, but please include an estimated schedule with your bid.
