Engineering Manual IT Translator (EN-ES)

Job ID: 40186263

Budget: €12 – €18 EUR

I need an experienced translator to turn engineering-focused technical manuals from English into flawless Spanish. The work goes well beyond a literal swap of words: every paragraph must read as if it were originally written for Spanish-speaking engineers, preserving terminology, tone, and intent.

Here’s what the assignment involves:
• Translate each manual with complete accuracy, using CAT tools or other advanced translation software to maintain consistency across recurring terms, tables, and diagrams.
• Revisit your own draft, revising until the Spanish version is clear, idiomatic, and perfectly aligned with the source.
• Check every unit, formula, and specification so nothing gets lost or altered.
• Where wording differs between regional practices, adapt it so a Latin American and a European engineer would both understand the instructions.
• Build a short, project-specific glossary as you go so we can reuse approved terminology in later manuals.
• Handle all files and data in strict confidence.

Deliverables
1. Final Spanish-language PDF or DOCX for each manual, fully formatted and reviewed.
2. A bilingual glossary (EN-ES) covering all specialized engineering terms introduced.
3. One clean, tracked-changes file showing major edits, if applicable.

I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right fit and will share the first manual immediately. Let me know your relevant experience, preferred software (Trados, MemoQ, Wordfast, etc.), and expected turnaround per 10,000 words.
