Digital Technician Manual Creation

Job ID: 39801161

Budget: $500 – $2,500 USD

I need an instructional design partner who can create mechanical tool service procedures and reshape them into a set of digital manuals that any brand-new technician can follow without supervision. I am looking for a step-by-step guide that speaks plain language and shows, not just tells, each task.

Here is what matters most to me:
• The end product is a clear DIGITAL manual—optimised for tablet or desktop viewing—that walks through every procedure from tool calibration to final sign-off.
• Flowcharts and infographics must be embedded at the exact points where a technician needs a quick decision path or visual reference. Photographs and slides are welcome.
• Tone and layout should assume zero prior industry experience.

Workflow
1. You audit our current processes via video calls and the documents I’ll share in Google Drive.
2. We agree on the skeleton: table of contents, module sequence, and visual style.
3. You draft the manual in an editable format (Word, Google Docs, or InDesign—choose what lets you layer visuals smoothly).
4. I review, annotate, and you iterate until everything is rollout-ready.

Acceptance criteria
• Every task broken down into numbered steps with safety warnings highlighted.
• At least one flowchart or infographic in each module.
• Final file delivered as a searchable PDF and the editable source.

If you have a background in technical writing for maintenance crews or have built training materials under FAA, FDA or other guidelines, let me know—those examples will move you to the top of the list.
