Please further revise the technical and plain language summaries to include "I/we" statements that demonstrate which methods were used to complete the work. Currently, it is difficult to differentiate contextual/background information from discussion of the actual research completed. For each technical and plain language summary, there should be approximately 2 paragraphs that describe the research completed, with 1 paragraph providing any necessary contextual/background information. For instance, the technical and plain language summaries can start by explaining why the research was conducted and by giving some necessary context. What problem in the field did you hope to address with the study? What was the goal of the research? Then, you should describe the research overall, focusing on the major steps involved in completing the work. In particular, please focus on describing the methods used and your approach. At the end of the technical and plain language summaries, please summarize your findings. For instance, how did your findings move the field forward? Did your findings address the initial problem you set out to solve? Did your findings answer any critical questions in your field? Where possible, please use statements that emphasize your role in the work, such as “Because of the need for ______, I studied ______ and found ______” or “I investigated/developed _______ and found _______.”

Your notable citation discussions generally look good. We just wanted to confirm that all citations described under your projects are citations in published works (peer-reviewed articles, books, book chapters, publicly released reports, etc.) and citations that are independent in nature. To clarify, a citation is considered independent when the citing article does not share any authors with the article they are citing. Thus, if any citations are dependent (from co-authors/colleagues) or in unpublished works (preprint articles, arXiv articles, theses, dissertations), then please replace them with independent citations in published works.
