Cisco Network Configuration & Documentation

Job ID: 40033432

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

Project Title: Cisco Packet Tracer: Dual-LAN Configuration, Services (DHCP/DNS/Web), and Firewall Implementation

Project Overview: I am looking for a networking expert to assist with a Cisco Packet Tracer assignment for a Computer Networks course. I have already created the physical topology (two local networks connected via routers), but I need assistance with the configuration, service implementation, and documentation.

Current State:

I have a .pkt file with the physical topology set up: 2 Routers, 2 Switches, and 8 PCs.

The cabling is connected, but interfaces are currently down (red lights), and no IP configuration has been applied yet.

Scope of Work: The freelancer will need to complete the following tasks:

Basic Connectivity & Routing:

Assign IP addresses to all components (PCs, Routers) and configure default gateways.

Configure the WAN link between the two routers to enable communication between the two separate LANs.

Verify connectivity using ping.

Network Services Configuration:

DHCP: Add and configure a DHCP server to assign dynamic IP addresses to the computers automatically.

Web & DNS: Add a Web Server with a custom web page and a DNS Server to resolve the address. Ensure the page is accessible from all computers.

Security:

Configure a Firewall (or Access Control List) to prevent access to the web server from specific traffic.

Documentation (Mandatory):

Create a step-by-step report (Word/PDF) documenting every configuration step taken, as this is a requirement for submission.

Deliverables:

The completed Cisco Packet Tracer file (.pkt).

A Word or PDF document containing the required report.

Skills Required:
