I need a set of English operational manuals for oil-and-gas equipment turned into clear, technically accurate Arabic that field technicians can rely on in the field. This is more than direct translation: tables, diagrams, safety icons, units of measure, and region-specific terminology all have to be adapted so the final Arabic version feels as if it were originally written for a GCC worksite.
Source files are mainly Word and InDesign; please keep the original layout intact and deliver both an editable file (same format) and a press-ready PDF. A concise bilingual glossary and any updated illustrations should accompany the manuals so that future revisions stay consistent.
You are free to work in SDL Trados, MemoQ, or another CAT environment as long as terminology consistency is guaranteed. Experience with oil-and-gas HSSE phrasing, API & ISO terminology, and equipment schematics is essential; the target readers are field technicians, so clarity and practical tone matter just as much as literal accuracy.
I’ll perform a spot check with an in-house engineer; payment is released once terminology matches our style guide, the layout mirrors the original, and no safety instruction is lost or altered.
