Administrator Installation Manual Writing
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
I need a clear, step-by-step user manual aimed specifically at system administrators that covers the entire installation process for our product. All content must be presented from an administrator’s perspective, assuming comfort with technical terminology but no prior exposure to our platform.
Scope of work
• Gather details from existing specs, test environment, or short calls with me to understand every installation prerequisite and decision point.
• Draft the manual with logical flow: pre-install checks, environment preparation, software deployment, post-install verification, and rollback notes.
• Illustrate instructions with concise diagrams or annotated screenshots where they add clarity.
• Deliver the finished guide in both editable Word (or Markdown) and a polished PDF ready for distribution.
Acceptance criteria
1. Following the document alone, a fresh administrator must be able to complete a clean install without back-and-forth questions.
2. All command samples, paths, and screenshots correspond to the current release build.
3. Language is consistent, free of errors, and formatted for easy navigation (table of contents, headings, numbered procedures).
I’m happy to provide access to a staging instance, existing technical specs, and test credentials so you can verify each step yourself. Let’s make an installation manual that lets administrators hit the ground running.
