help with a closed facebook to invite select people

I have a successful closed facebook group and had no trouble running a post on my business page to invite people in and them individually processed their member request - I created another closed facebook and want to invite 12 people in to it.....but am having trouble. they cant find it on facebook and the invite email leads them to an error message or the invite doesnt work either
