VMAX Level 3 Engineer for Freelance Support Role

We are currently looking for a skilled VMAX Level 3 Engineer to provide freelance support for a large contract with a strategic account. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with VMAX3 and VMAX Gen2 systems, demonstrating a deep understanding of their infrastructure, architecture, and a strong background in direct support roles.
Responsibilities:
- Perform System Health Checks to ensure optimal performance of VMAX storage systems.
- Diagnose errors and identify Faulty Replaceable Units (FRU) efficiently.
- Provide back support to Field Engineers for complex on-site issues.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date System Inventories.
- Deliver immediate support for Severity 1 incidents to minimize disruption and downtime.
- Create detailed Post Mortem and Problem Analysis Reports for documentation and future reference.
Requirements:
-Must be available to work during US Central time business hours
- Demonstrated experience as a VMAX Level 3 Engineer, with specific expertise in VMAX3 and VMAX Gen2 systems.
- Profound knowledge of VMAX architecture, components, and management tools.
- Familiarity with data center operations and storage networking technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., EMC Proven Professional) are desirable.
Contract Details:
- This is a remote, freelance position tailored for an ongoing large contract.
- Payment will be on an hourly rate basis, per event or support activity. - The hourly rate will be negotiated based on the candidate’s experience level.
- Flexible hours, with availability required for urgent support situations, particularly for Severity 1 incidents.
