FM Transmitter Wattage Upgrade

Job ID: 40391359

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need assistance in changing my FM frequency to a stronger wattage for increased range. I'm currently using a commercial FM transmitter with less than 100 watts.

Requirements:
- Experience with FM transmitters, especially in a commercial context.
- Knowledge of frequency allocation and legal requirements.
- Technical skills to safely upgrade or modify existing equipment.

Ideal Skills:
- RF engineering background
- Experience with high-wattage FM transmitters
- Strong problem-solving abilities

Please provide a detailed plan and your relevant experience.

My name is Daniel Daehan Park, and I operate WQXI (AM 790) in Atlanta along with an FM translator currently on 96.7 MHz.

We are exploring a potential frequency change and are looking for an engineer to identify viable FM frequencies from our current tower location near Cheshire Bridge (33°55′01″N, 84°12′06″W).

Specifically, we are looking for:

Identification of all FM frequencies available under minor modification rules
The maximum allowable ERP for each viable frequency (with priority on those that can support the highest possible power)
A recommendation on the best overall frequency for signal strength and coverage

Given the congestion in the Atlanta market, our goal is simply to determine the strongest frequency option available from our existing site.

Please let me know your availability, timeline, and cost for this study.

Best regards,
Daniel Daehan Park
