IT Support Specialist Needed in Penang
Budget: $250 – $750 SGD
Looking for an IT Support Specialist based in Penang, Malaysia!
We need someone who can help with both remote and in-person tech support across a few of our sites. You’ll be the go-to person for colleagues when they need help with hardware, software, connectivity, AV setups, and more.
What you’ll be doing:
- Be the first point of contact for tech-related support.
- Do remote site visits (rotational) for locations without a dedicated IT person.
- Set up IT for new starters and run onboarding sessions.
- Support conference rooms, AV setups, and internal events.
- Troubleshoot security and endpoint issues when remote help isn’t enough.
- Help with office moves and tech setups.
- Manage hardware inventory, replacements, procurement, and disposal.
You’re a good fit if you:
- Are based in Penang, Malaysia (and can travel locally when needed).
- Have solid troubleshooting skills (laptops, networks, AV equipment, etc.).
- Are comfortable juggling inventory management and hands-on IT work.
- Communicate well and are friendly/helpful to colleagues.
- Are proactive and good at solving problems without waiting for detailed instructions.
Details:
- Hourly contract
- 6-month initial term (with potential to extend)
- Work during Malaysia business hours
- Some in-person work required, but lots of remote tasks too.
