On-Site Network Equipment Support
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
During a scheduled maintenance window in January 2026, physical verification and light-touch servicing of network equipment must be carried out at multiple facilities in both China and the United States. The work centres on routers, switches and servers that are already installed; my remote NOC engineer will stay on a live call to guide each step in English.
What happens on site
You will enter the data room, locate the designated racks and perform simple actions such as rack-and-stack adjustments, power-cycle/reboot procedures and basic cable housekeeping exactly as instructed. Clear, well-lit photos of every device faceplate, serial label and cable run are required so the NOC can update its records in real time.
Skills & gear
Basic IT support experience is enough, provided you are comfortable inside a rack environment and can communicate clearly in English while following remote directions. Please arrive with a small toolkit (screwdrivers, pliers) and the usual measurement gear—multimeter and cable tester at minimum. A smartphone camera is acceptable for the photo documentation.
Deliverables (per site visit)
• Real-time voice or chat coordination with the NOC until sign-off
• Photo pack of all requested angles, labelled by device name/serial
• Checklist confirming each instructed action was completed
• Readings or test results captured with the multimeter/cable tester
Successful completion is confirmed once my remote engineer reviews the photos, validates the checklist and reports that all devices are back online. If you are available in January and can cover either the China or USA locations— or both—let me know which sites you can reach and your typical response time.
