.NET & Visual Basic developer to assist with an existing biometric attendance tracking software
Budget: ₹1,000 – ₹10,000 INR
I am looking for an experienced .NET & Visual Basic developer to assist with an existing biometric attendance tracking software. The application is already developed and fully functional, but the original developer is no longer available for support.
We need someone who can:
Review and understand the existing codebase (written in .NET and Visual Basic).
Explain the current system architecture and key modules (especially how biometric integration and attendance tracking are implemented).
Guide us on how to deploy the software on a new client’s machine/environment.
Assist with configuring biometric devices (e.g., fingerprint scanners) to ensure accurate attendance tracking.
Offer ongoing technical support, enhancements, or feature explanations as needed.
Key Skills Required:
Strong experience in .NET Framework (Windows Forms or WPF) and Visual Basic (VB.NET)
Experience with biometric device integration (e.g., ZKTeco, eSSL, etc.)
Knowledge of local software deployment (e.g., installation setup, dependencies, SQL Server if used)
Ability to understand and work with existing/legacy code
Clear communication skills to explain system functionality and usage
Deliverables:
Complete code review and documentation of key modules
Step-by-step guide or support for deployment on client machines
Assistance in configuring biometric device(s) with the software
Clarification and training (as needed) on various software features
Optional: Minor bug fixes or improvements based on review
Preferred Experience:
Previous work on biometric attendance or HR software
Familiarity with Windows-based desktop applications
Ability to start immediately or within a short timeframe
Additional Info:
The software is currently working in a production environment
Access to the source code and sample data will be provided
This could potentially turn into a long-term support role
