Infrastructure Engineer (Freelancer) – Onsite (1-Day Assignment)

We are looking for a freelance Infrastructure Engineer to provide onsite support at a client location for a one-day infrastructure activity. You will be the onsite engineer, working closely with a remote technical team that will handle configurations and validation.
Responsibilities
Rack, stack, cable, and power on infrastructure equipment including servers, switches, firewalls, desktops, and printers as per provided documentation
Patch network and IT equipment following diagrams and instructions
Connect console and management cables to enable remote access for the engineering team
Perform basic health checks on desktops, laptops, and printers
Verify network connectivity and test printing services
Coordinate with the remote team throughout the activity
Provide a brief end-of-day handover and status update
Deliverables
All infrastructure equipment installed, powered on, and accessible to the remote team
Confirmation that desktops, laptops, and printers are operational
Short summary of tasks completed and any issues or observations
Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, system engineering, or onsite technical support
Practical knowledge of servers, networking devices, and end-user hardware
Comfortable following network diagrams and remote instructions
Ability to work independently onsite and communicate clearly with remote teams
