Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Field Engineer (FE) to provide onsite technical support for network-related activities at the Fontana site. The engineer will coordinate with the remote team and execute tasks as per instructions while adhering strictly to safety and operational guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite support and coordinate with remote engineers via MS Teams/Webex
Connect to network devices using console access and assist in configuration/troubleshooting
Follow instructions provided by the remote team for device setup and validation
Ensure proper connectivity and assist in testing activities
Provide real-time updates and feedback during the activity
Maintain professionalism and follow site protocols at all times
Mandatory Safety Requirement
The Field Engineer is NOT permitted to work above 5 meters height
Any request to work at 36 feet (~11 meters) must be politely declined
Engineer must clearly state that work beyond 5 meters is outside approved scope and safety compliance
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
Experience with console access and network device configuration
Ability to coordinate effectively with remote teams
Good communication skills (English mandatory)
Prior onsite field support experience preferred
Tools & Equipment Required
Engineer must carry the following:
Mandatory Items:
Laptop with charger
Mobile phone with charger
TeamViewer installed
MS Teams & Webex pre-installed
Networking & Connectivity:
2 × Console cables (DB9 / RJ45)
Cisco console cable (CAB-CONSOLE RJ45–DB9 Female)
2 × Cat5e patch cables (10m & 3m)
Additional Requirements:
USB Pen Drive (2/4/8 GB, FAT32 formatted, with required files preloaded)
Mobile internet dongle or hotspot (backup connectivity)
Installation Tools:
Screwdriver set
Cage nuts & screws
Site Access Requirements
Customer ID badge (if required)
Follow all site security and access protocols
Use guest Wi-Fi if required for connectivity

Engineer must be punctual and ready at the scheduled time
