Running Shorts Design & Tech Pack
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m ready to bring a new pair of men’s running shorts to life and need a designer who can take the idea all the way from sketch to factory-ready tech pack. The concept is simple but performance-driven: lightweight shorts with a supportive built-in liner and low-profile side pockets that hold keys or gels without bounce.
Performance priorities
• Fabric must be breathable, moisture-wicking, and quick-dry. Feel free to propose recycled poly or similar blends that keep weight down while standing up to repeated washes.
• A streamlined cut—think mid-thigh length—should allow full range of motion.
• Subtle reflective hits are welcome if they fit naturally into the design language.
What I need from you
1. Concept sketches (front, back, and inside views).
2. Detailed tech pack built in Adobe Illustrator or comparable software: graded measurement table (sizes S–XL), construction notes, stitch types, BOM with trims, colorways, artwork placement, and care label info.
3. Fabric and trim suggestions with supplier references or spec sheets.
4. A brief rationale explaining how the liner and side-pocket architecture will maintain comfort during long runs.
Acceptance criteria
• All measurements clearly labeled in both inches and centimeters.
• File formats: AI or PDF for artwork, XLS or embedded tables for specs.
• Ready for a factory to quote and cut without additional clarification.
