Street Lighting Voltage-Drop Design
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have five separate street-lighting circuits, each running roughly 1 km and powered by LED fixtures. For every run I must keep the voltage drop under 3 % .
Your job is to size the conductors, select protective devices if required, and supply clear voltage-drop calculations that prove compliance for each feeder. Please base the work on standard RTA specs, and assume a three-phase, four-wire low-voltage supply 400V.
Deliverables
• Single-line or schematic for all five circuits showing conductor sizes and protection
• Spreadsheet or calculation sheet detailing input data, formulas, and the final % drop for every circuit
• Short narrative explaining any assumptions, cable grouping or ambient-temperature corrections applied
I will review the numbers, confirm that none of the circuits exceed the 3 % limit, then release the milestone.
