- Developing plans for foodborne illness prevention programs, including training employees on food safety principles and procedures
- Monitoring food safety conditions in restaurants, grocery stores, schools, daycare centers, nursing homes, hospitals, or other facilities where food is prepared or served
- Consulting with clients on issues such as how to create a safe environment in food service establishments, how to prevent foodborne illnesses in high risk populations, and how to manage a food recall or disease outbreak
- Preparing reports on findings and recommendations regarding food safety issues
Conducting training sessions on food safety topics for staff members, including managers, chefs, bartenders, waiters or waitresses, dishwashers, kitchen staff, and dining room staff
