Experienced Windows Kernel Developer for General-Purpose PCIe Driver (WDK)

Job ID: 39625704

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

We are looking for a highly experienced Windows kernel developer to build a general-purpose PCIe driver that works across any PCIe device by specifying Vendor ID and Device ID. This driver should support both I/O space and memory space access, and be built using WDK.

We are seeking someone who can take full ownership of this task and deliver clean, stable, and maintainable code.

What You Will Build:

A Windows kernel-mode driver that:

- Detects PCIe devices by Vendor ID / Device ID
- Maps and exposes access to I/O and memory BARs
- Supports interaction from user space (via IOCTL or any other interface you propose)
- (Optional but preferred) A minimal user-space control interface or sample tool

Requirements:

- Proven experience with Windows Driver Kit (WDK) and KMDF or WDM
- Deep knowledge of PCIe, BAR mapping, I/O and memory access
- Ability to start immediately and work milestone-based
- Experience writing secure and stable kernel-mode code
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain implementation choices

Notes:

- This is a milestone-based project
- Please only apply if you have hands-on experience building similar PCIe drivers
- Start is ASAP

To apply, please share:

- Relevant PCIe driver projects or client work
- Expected availability and timeline
- Any questions you have about our use case
