Couch Tutors- Hiring All Subjects - Tutors $10-14 per hour
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
I started thinking about the opportunity that exists to connect teachers from anywhere in the world with students anywhere in the world. I couldn't sleep thinking about the chance that we have as a society to level the access and quality of education. This is when Couch Tutors was born. Currently we have 400+ teachers from 50 countries, looking to help students via our online leanring platform (currently in development).
Couch Tutors hopes to be a for-profit, EdTech company, based in Plainfield, IL USA. Corporate Social Responsibility is at the core of our values and 1% of all tutoring proceeds will go toward the “Educate the World Fund”. This pre-paid revenue fund will serve as a pillar to establish partnerships with companies and organizations across the globe that are interested in helping students in need.
This project is currently self-funded (boot-strapped) first prototype. We have been overwhelmed with the response from tutors in 46 countries and now are in urgent need to build a technical infrastructure to serve our mission.
Who we are looking for?
We are looking for Tutors to join our network as Independent Contractors, to educate students around the world. We plan to offer hundreds of courses for subjects that support K-12, and beyond. We need the brightest talent to assist us in Educating students in the fields of World Languages, Math, English, Science, Engineering, Computer Studies and Test Prep intervention and supplemental programs.
