Job Title: Tax Managing Director – Private Company
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Reporting To: Partner
Team Size to Manage: 55
About the Role
This leadership position will focus on high-net-worth clients, privately held entities, estate and trust matters, and multi-state tax planning. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in private company taxation and thrives in a
growth-focused, team-oriented environment.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field
- CPA designation
- 10–15 years of experience in public accounting, primarily focused on private client taxation
- Recent experience leading all aspects of client engagements and driving business growth
- Proficiency in entity taxation (partnership, S Corporation, C Corporation) and individual taxation
- Experience with state and local/franchise tax for multi-state filers
- Familiarity with fiduciary, gift, and estate taxation
Compensation
- Base Salary: $142,500 – $263,000 CAD
- Bonus Structure: Performance-based (to be discussed)
- Work Location: Head Office – Toronto, Ontario
- Relocation: Not available
