QuickBooks Online Setup & Cleanup
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I recently moved my business onto QuickBooks Online and want to be absolutely sure everything is configured and caught up before the next reporting cycle. I have an active subscription but the file is still in its default state, so the immediate priority is a proper setup and installation: chart of accounts that fits my operation, tax settings, opening balances, users, and bank-feed connections.
Once the shell is in place, I need help cleaning up the books and keeping them current. That means:
• Categorising every outstanding transaction so nothing sits in “uncategorised”.
• Reconciling all linked bank and credit-card accounts back to the most recent statement date.
• Bringing accounts receivable and payable dashboards in line with reality—open invoices and bills should reflect what is truly owed and when.
Historic data goes back to the start of the fiscal year and will need a once-over for accuracy. Deliverables are a QBO file that ties to the bank statements, clean ageing reports, and a short hand-off document outlining the workflows you used so I can maintain them myself.
