About the Role

The Tax Manager will play a key role in providing strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This position requires a proactive leader with deep expertise in corporate and personal Canadian tax, as well as experience in tax reorganizations, succession planning, and advisory projects.


Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage tax engagements for a variety of clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Advise clients on complex tax reorganization, planning, and compliance matters.

Oversee preparation and review of T1, T2, and T3 returns.

Manage and mentor a team of 12 tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Collaborate with partners and senior leadership to identify business development opportunities.

Stay current on Canadian tax legislation and communicate implications to clients and internal teams.

Develop and implement strategies to optimize tax planning and minimize liabilities for clients.



Qualifications


CPA designation.

Enrolled in or near completion of the In-Depth Tax Program or MTax.

Minimum 4 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm, currently at manager level.

Strong technical knowledge in Canadian corporate and personal tax compliance.

Proven experience in tax reorganization, planning, and succession planning.

Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.

Experience in Big 4 or mid-sized firms is preferred.
