Service Business Accounting & Payroll Management
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I operate a services-based firm and need our day-to-day numbers handled with zero guesswork. The core of the assignment is to keep client billing and incoming payments fully reconciled while tracking every staff salary, allowance, and expense we generate. Whether you prefer QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or a similarly robust cloud platform, consistency and audit-ready records are what matter most.
The flow I expect is simple: invoices go out on time, receipts are matched automatically or the same day, payroll is closed without errors, and monthly management reports land in my inbox before the fifth working day.
Deliverables I will review each month
• Reconciled sales ledger showing all client invoices and collections
• Payroll register with salaries, deductions, benefits, and expense reimbursements
• P&L and cash-flow snapshots suitable for board review and tax filing
• A brief variance note explaining anything that moved more than 5 % month-on-month
Acceptance criteria
1. No unreconciled transaction remains older than 15 days.
2. Payroll journals balance to the cent with bank debits.
3. Reports export correctly to both PDF and Excel without manual fixes.
When you respond, focus on your direct experience managing accounting for service organisations—especially how you have kept billing cycles tight and payroll compliant.
