QuickBooks Training, remote accounting support and Year-End tax Prep
Budget: £8 – £16 GBP
Hi I am looking for urgent help with QuickBooks training and end of year preparation in time for the 31 January deadline, which is just 5 days away...
I am a self-employed childminder looking for training and support to complete my first year of accounts (April 24-Apil 25) in QuickBooks and preparing for HMRC submission and am looking for 2-hours of training and online remote help from you as an accountant on my Quickbooks account. I need fast and efficient support from an experienced QuickBooks user. I may need a half day to one day of virtual support to get my accounts ready for HMRC before the deadline on 31st Jan 26.
Since installing Quickbooks in April 2024, I have logged most transactions and invoices, but some clients paid directly without invoices and I want to ensure everything is reconciled correctly and nothing is doubled or missed. Furthermore, I want to be ready to submit my accounts without issue in 5 days time, so it is crucial that everything that I am entering is both concise and correct.
Specifically, I would like help with:
Reconciling transactions and matching receipts and categorising them.
Reviewing and setting up correct categories (income, expenses, loans, drawings, etc.) - note that I have set a lot of these up already but some advice to improve these would be very welcome! I would like some remote help with working on the accounts from the Accountant side, especially reconciliation and some expenses (using the AI system to categorise the receipts). I can give the successful person my log in on Quickbooks as an accountant. i would like to see references please.
Directors loan / owner’s drawings and reclaiming personal funds put into the business
Motor vehicle costs, depreciation, and wear & tear
Donations (registered charities and gifts to families in need)
Loans repaid to family
Categorising personal purchases made on the business account
Setting QuickBooks correctly for non-VAT registered status and advice on VAT registration thresholds
Checking allowable childminding expenses
Consolidating payments and setting up automatic consolidation.
Preparing accounts for HMRC
Advice regarding my partner’s tax allowance (he carried out some advertising work for me). This is optional, as I know that not everyone will have this knowledge.
To begin with I would like 3 hours of training broken into:
1-hour remote session for basic training 1 hour so discuss the help I need from you.
1-hour remote training session for further training a couple of days later.
Some hours remote work- perhaps 1/2 day-1 day please give me your price for this.
I will then apply everything that I have learned with your online support to compile my end of year accounts and will compile a list of areas for which I require further assistance, so a final 1-hour on Saturday should complete the project.
I am aware that due to my lack of knowledge, there may be additional areas for which I may require support/training but will not be aware of these until I am more familiar with the platform.
I am also likely to be interested in follow-on hourly session for training/support, so please quote me your hourly rate for additional hours of support after this project is completed.
No data import is required—everything is already inside QuickBooks—so the hours can be dedicated to hands-on remote support, guidance and answering my questions. At the end I’d like a concise checklist or set of notes that I can follow when I run the report on my own.
If you are an experienced QuickBooks user who regularly prepares accounts for HMRC, I’ll appreciate your practical, jargon-free help.
Finally, given my extremely tight deadline, I do require someone who has availability in the next few days to help me.
