Job Description:
We are in the process of establishing a sweepstakes business, intending to navigate the complex regulatory and tax environments of both the United States and Canada. We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced International Tax Advisor to guide us through the intricacies of international tax compliance, optimization strategies, and efficient business structuring to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations while optimizing our tax position.

Responsibilities:
Provide guidance on the optimal business structure considering the regulatory and tax implications in both the U.S. and Canada.
Provide the best type of Business Structure to develop tax strategies that comply with laws and enhance profitability.
Offer advice on financial and tax aspects of business expansion, including but not limited to, cross-border transactions, and international operations.
Provide guidance on VAT/sales tax obligations arising from operations.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or CMA) is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in international tax advisory roles, with a strong emphasis on U.S. and Canadian tax laws.
Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian tax codes, regulations, and compliance requirements, with particular expertise in the gambling/sweepstakes industry being highly advantageous.
Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing tax strategies for businesses with cross-border operations.
Proficiency in conducting tax research.
Exceptional analytical and strategic planning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Desirable:
Familiarity with tax issues related to digital and online operations.
Experience advising small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups.
