Cancel GST Temporary ID

I need an experienced GST practitioner to verify whether my unused Temporary GST Enrollment ID can simply lapse on its own or must be formally withdrawn. I never logged into the portal after generating the ID, and I only have the Enrollment reference number—no username or password has been created.
