Custom Alabama A Tattoo

I’m ready to get new ink and I need a fresh, medium-sized design built around the classic Alabama “A” combined with the phrase “it is what it is.” The piece will sit on my arm, so the artwork has to flow well with that placement and keep good readability at arm’s-length.

I haven’t locked myself into a single style, so feel free to propose traditional, modern, minimalist, or even a hybrid approach if you think it will make the lettering and the “A” symbol stand out together. The key is balance: the letterform should be instantly recognizable, the quote must be clear, and the whole composition needs to feel cohesive rather than two separate elements.

Deliverables I’m expecting:
• High-resolution digital illustration (vector or 300-dpi PNG/PDF) ready for my tattoo artist
• A line-work version plus a colored/shaded mock-up to show depth and placement cues
• Any font or brush files if you create custom lettering
