Role Overview
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist / Recruiter based in Nigeria to help identify, engage, and place top software engineering talent. You will be responsible for sourcing candidates both online and offline, building relationships with local tech communities, and supporting our recruitment process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, attract, and engage Nigerian software engineering candidates and African software engineers through online platforms, networking, referrals or abroad
- Screen candidates for basic technical skills, experience, and cultural fit
- Coordinate interviews and support candidates throughout the hiring process
- Maintain a candidate database and track recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, interview-to-hire ratio)
- Work closely with the Octosteches U.S. team to understand client needs and candidate requirements
- Develop creative strategies to reach passive candidates in the Nigerian tech ecosystem
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience as a recruiter or talent acquisition specialist, ideally recruiting software engineers
- Strong network of software engineers and technology professionals in Nigeria
- Experience sourcing candidates via LinkedIn, social media, tech communities, referrals, and offline events
- Understanding of software engineering roles and technical terminology (C#, .NET)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple candidates and roles simultaneously.
Compensation & Benefits
