React Social Media Platform Frontend
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I have a mostly green-field React + Tailwind CSS project that needs to grow into a fully-featured social media web application. The goal is to craft a clean, component-driven interface that feels fast and intuitive on every screen size, while integrating smoothly with the REST/GraphQL endpoints my backend team is finalising.
Core experience I want you to build
• Posting & sharing content with image/video support
• Rich user interaction: comments, reactions, real-time vote management
• Flexible user profiles with editable bios, avatars and privacy controls
User roles to accommodate
• Regular User – the default experience
• Moderator – extra reporting / content-review tools
• Administrator – full dashboard access and user management
Authentication methods that must work seamlessly
• Email & password (JWT flow)
• Social login (Google, Facebook, X)
• Optional two-factor authentication for sensitive actions
Technical expectations
The UI should be sliced into reusable React components, styled entirely with Tailwind CSS and wired up with modern state management (Context, Redux Toolkit or Zustand—whichever lets us ship clean code). Please favour React Router for navigation, keep performance top-of-mind (code splitting, lazy loading) and write the occasional Jest/React-Testing-Library test to cover critical flows.
Deliverables
1. Git repo with well-structured, documented source code
2. A running build hosted on Vercel/Netlify for review
3. Brief setup notes and API stubs so my backend team can plug straight in
Acceptance criteria
• All listed roles can log in and see their correct UI controls
• Posting, commenting and vote counts update in real time via mocked API
• Fully responsive layouts down to 320 px width
• Lighthouse performance score ≥ 90 on mobile
If this sounds like your kind of project, tell me how you’d tackle the architecture and timeline, and share 1-2 similar React/Tailwind apps you’ve shipped.
