Executive Summary should be upfront. Any figures or visualizations in the “Body” of the paper used in the Exec Summary should be called out in the Exec Summary (See Figure 1). Also, the executive summary is written about the data and visualizations … not things like “I learned how to use Tableau”…
Visualizations in the Body should have a Figure # and Title: (Example; Figure 1 – Number of Deaths due to Cocaine). Then following the figure a brief explanation of what the visualization is telling you.
Make SCREEN SHOTS and paste onto Word Doc – best to use the snipping tool in order to get it on the captured visualization the correct size.
