2. Recreate a dashboard for the superstore data - Include this part in the lab report.

Ryan Sleeper has created an example dashboard for the superstore data.

Study the dashboard and recreate this dashboard – try your best to make it as similar as possible. There are links to other posts in the article and you should follow them if needed. Do some research yourself as well. Explain clearly if your creation is different from the example.


3. Dashboard Critique - Include this part in the lab report.

Examine the dashboard in task #2. What do you think about the design of this dashboard? What are the potential issues? How can you improve it following the principles and best practices discussed in the lecture?

List and explain at least top 5 major issues and corresponding improvements to this dashboar ``````d.

4. Design and create a dashboard for the superstore data yourself - Include this part in the lab report.

Design and create another dashboard for the superstore data yourself. It should be different from the one created by Ryan. Include the following to the lab report:

a) State and explain the goal and objectives of your dashboard.
b) Explain design decisions and justifications on data/content selection, chart choice, layout design, and other UI considerations.
c) Summarize best practices applied.

Submission
Submit the following two items to D2L:
1. A lab report in PDF format. This report should include:
o The URL of your Tableau Public profile that shows required dashboards in all parts.
o A screenshot of each dashboard you have built in each part. Clearly label and describe all screenshots. All screens must be clear, original, and show the complete Tableau window. No graphic editing or cropping is allowed. Include required explanations.
2. Tableau packaged workbook file which contains your data and visualizations (.twbx). Zip it if you have more than one file.
Grading
The lab is assessed based on:
• Completion of instructions and requirements.
• Satisfaction of submission requirements.
• The quality of lab report, including completeness and explanation of screenshots and work.
