Tableau Bar Chart Tier Bands
Budget: ₹400 – ₹750 INR
I already have a working bar chart in Tableau Desktop that shows Net Sales by customer and quarter. What’s missing is the visual context of our target bands:
• $2.5 M – $3.2 M highlighted in yellow
• $3.2 M – $3.7 M highlighted in green
• (two other bands continue the scale in the same fashion)
I’d like these bands drawn as an overlaid tier or reference area on top of the existing bars so users can instantly see whether a customer’s quarterly sales fall below, meet, or exceed target. Some thresholds will stay fixed, yet I also want the option to switch to data-driven limits when we change targets mid-year, so please structure the calculation to accept parameters or a lookup table.
