PowerBI-Style Decomposition tree in Tableau
Budget: ₹600 – ₹601 INR
I have an Excel workbook that holds sales data and I need it visualised in Tableau as a true decomposition tree—similar in look, feel, and behaviour to Power BI’s native feature. Users must be able to start with total sales, click any suggested dimension (region, state, country, city, category, product, customer etc.), and keep drilling down or rolling back up without limits while seeing automatic percentage-of-total updates at every step.
Deliverables
• Tableau workbook (.twbx) wired to my Excel Spreadsheet with the interactive, multi-level decomposition tree fully functional
• Clear, in-workbook comments or a short walkthrough document that shows how to swap in new dimensions or refresh the data file
• All calculations and actions neatly named so our in-house analyst can maintain the solution
I’ll supply a sample of the Excel file as soon as we agree on the fields to include in the hierarchy. Once the tree behaves exactly like Power BI’s—complete drill-down, automatic contribution percentages, smooth transitions—I’ll sign off.
