Early Years Data Dashboard

Job ID: 39992718

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I need an end-to-end Tableau Public dashboard built from the free Ontario Data Catalogue EarlyON Child and Family Centres datasets (and, if useful, the companion CMSM planning files). You’ll start by extracting and cleaning the raw CSVs—merging enrolment, location, and demographic tables, handling missing values, and standardising field names so the data can refresh smoothly each year.

Once the model is sound, publish an interactive dashboard that:

• Highlights annual enrolment growth, with quick filters for municipality and program type.
• Displays wait-list pressure for the 3-5 year age group front and centre (other ages can sit in the data model for future use).
• Uses GIS layers to surface geographic gaps in service coverage, overlaid with equity indicators such as Indigenous population densities and low-income neighbourhood quintiles.

Please keep the workbook fully transparent—no hidden calcs—and document every cleaning step so my team can reproduce the process. A concise, one-page “insights brief” must accompany the dashboard, written as if it is going straight to a Children’s Services Manager: key findings, why they matter, and an at-a-glance chart or two.

Acceptance criteria
• Tableau Public link, publicly viewable, with download enabled
• Packaged workbook (.twbx) plus the cleaned data extract
• Step-by-step data prep notes (Markdown or Word)
• One-page insights brief (PDF)

If you prefer Power BI we can discuss, but Tableau Public is my first choice. Looking forward to seeing how you turn raw early-years data into clear, actionable stories.
