System Engineer – Onsite (1-Day Assignment)

Job ID: 40203823

Budget: $25 – $50 USD

I need an experienced system engineer to spend a single day at our client’s site acting as the hands-on field resource while my remote team handles the configuration. Your focus will be the physical side: racking, cabling, powering on, patching, and verifying a mixed stack of servers and switches, desktops and laptops, plus printers and firewalls.

On arrival you’ll follow the step-by-step build sheet we provide, attach console or management leads so the remote crew can take control, then run quick power-on and connectivity checks. Before leaving, test that users can log in, reach the network shares, and print without issues. A concise wrap-up note (what was completed, any snags, and current device status) closes the assignment.

Deliverables
• All listed equipment fully racked, cabled, powered, and reachable by the remote team
• Confirmation that workstations and printers boot, join the network, and output a test page
• End-of-day summary highlighting any outstanding items or recommended follow-ups

The site is ready, cables and consumables are on hand, and the remote engineers will stay on call throughout for swift validation. If you are comfortable with data-center etiquette, console cables, basic ping and print tests, and clear status reporting, this should be a straightforward one-day engagement.
