Security Software Installation Assistance
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
My Oracle VirtualBox guest is a Linux machine and I need a specialist to carry out a series of basic installations—no deep tuning or advanced hardening, just clean, working setups.
The first wave of tools includes Wazuh, Security Onion, the ELK Stack, and Splunk Free Edition, but in total there are about twenty-eight security and monitoring applications to lay down. I want each one installed so it starts without errors, can launch from the command line or its service file, and survives a reboot inside the VM.
We will work over a screen-share or SSH session, whichever you prefer. I’ll hand you the ISO, DEB/RPM, or TAR files as we go, and I’ll snapshot the VM between groups of installs so we always have a rollback point.
Deliverable checklist
• Every assigned application installed on the Linux VM
• Services verified as “running” or equivalent
• Brief note (one sentence) per tool on how to start/stop it
If you know your way around systemd, basic Linux dependencies, and typical security-stack prerequisites, this should be a straightforward engagement.
