Python SysAdmin Automation Scripts

Job ID: 39735653

Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR

I need a set of lightweight Python 3 scripts that can streamline routine server-side chores for me. The first group of tasks centres on system administration: think service status checks, user or group management, scheduled clean-ups, log rotation, and similar house-keeping jobs on a typical Linux environment. The second group handles file manipulation—organising large directory trees, renaming or archiving files by rule, moving finished assets to the right targets, and removing stale content automatically.

Clean, readable code with solid in-line comments and a concise README are a must. I’m happy with standard libraries (os, shutil, pathlib, subprocess, logging) but if an external dependency would genuinely simplify things, mention it first. Each script should accept CLI arguments, exit with meaningful codes, and write to a log file so I can plug it into cron or systemd timers without surprises.

To help me pick quickly, share past work demonstrating similar automation or sysadmin tooling you’ve built—GitHub links, gists, or short video walkthroughs are fine.
