Office Network Setup & Management
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I’m looking for an experienced network and system administrator to take full ownership of our small-to-mid-sized office network. The environment is being refreshed from the ground up, so I need help at every stage:
• Hardware deployment and configuration – routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls all need clean, standards-based builds. VLAN design, IP addressing, DHCP/DNS, and basic cabling checks are part of the work.
• Performance monitoring – once the gear is live, I want continuous visibility. Please integrate the hardware into the monitoring stack of your choice (SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, or similar), set sensible alerts, and give me a weekly health summary during the first month.
• Security hardening – enforce best-practice firewall rules, secure management interfaces, apply firmware updates, and document the security posture so I have a clear before/after comparison.
Deliverables I expect:
1. A fully operational office LAN/WLAN with Internet breakout.
2. Monitoring dashboard access and a one-page SOP on how to interpret alerts.
3. A succinct configuration backup and security checklist for every device.
If you can meet these points and are comfortable working remotely with an occasional on-site visit (if you’re local), I’d like to get started right away.
