Long-Term Linux Server Care

I run several production websites on Linux and I’m looking to establish an ongoing partnership with someone who lives and breathes the server-side world. The immediate focus is twofold: keeping the servers healthy through routine maintenance and hardening them against threats with proactive security management.

Here’s what the collaboration will look like:

• Regular OS and package updates, log reviews, and backup checks so uptime never becomes a question.
• Security audits, firewall tuning, intrusion detection responses, and clean-ups whenever a vulnerability pops up.
• Clear, timely reports after each task so I always know the state of the infrastructure.

Everything sits on a Linux stack, so deep familiarity with typical tools—SSH, systemd, fail2ban, iptables, and whichever configuration management or monitoring suite you prefer—is essential. If you also enjoy squeezing extra performance out of Nginx, Apache, or database layers, that will be a welcome bonus down the road.
