Linux VPS Administration Support
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
I run a Linux-based VPS and need an experienced sysadmin to take full charge of its lifecycle—from first-time provisioning through ongoing upkeep.
Please handle:
• Server setup & configuration: prepare the OS, configure user accounts, install and tune the required services, and make sure everything boots cleanly after a reboot.
• Security hardening: lock down SSH, set up a firewall (iptables/ufw or similar), enable automatic intrusion-prevention tools, and apply best-practice server-side protections.
• Routine maintenance & updates: schedule and apply kernel and package updates, monitor resource utilisation, and keep logs / backups in good order.
You are free to use whatever standard Linux tools you prefer (e.g., systemd, fail2ban, rsync, cron) as long as the system remains stable and easily maintainable.
Deliverables are a fully operational, securely hardened VPS plus brief documentation outlining what was changed and how to repeat key tasks.
