Linux Server Performance Maintenance

Job ID: 40164406

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I need an experienced admin to provide ongoing maintenance for a single Linux server, with the focus squarely on performance monitoring. The goal is to catch bottlenecks before they affect uptime and keep the machine running smoothly at all times.

Here’s what I expect from you:

• Deploy and configure a reliable monitoring stack (Prometheus-Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix, or your preferred toolkit) on the server.
• Set up alerting rules that reach me instantly via email or Slack, keeping false positives to a minimum.
• Tune system parameters—CPU, RAM, disk I/O, network—whenever data shows a degradation in performance.
• Deliver a concise weekly report outlining metrics, any tweaks you made, and recommendations for the week ahead.

You will receive root SSH access once we have an NDA in place. The box currently runs Nginx, MySQL, and a few Docker containers, so all maintenance must be performed with zero-to-minimal downtime.

If you already maintain Linux servers and have dashboards you can show, include a brief reference so I can gauge your approach.
