Linux Apache Hosting Setup Help

Job ID: 39805020

Budget: $2 – $8 USD

I am about to spin up a few Linux-based machines at home and need hands-on help turning them into reliable web hosts with Apache. The goal is to serve several small-scale sites—landing pages, simple e-commerce stores, and personal blogs—directly from my own hardware.

You will guide me through:
• installing and hardening Apache on each box
• configuring virtual hosts so multiple sites can run side-by-side
• setting up DNS and basic networking so the sites resolve publicly
• documenting routine maintenance and troubleshooting steps I can follow later

Everything happens on Linux only, so deep familiarity with that environment is essential. Once the first server is stable we will replicate the setup across additional machines, refining performance and security as we go.

Deliverables will be a fully operational Apache stack on at least one local server, clear walk-through notes or scripts for repeating the process, and a brief session for Q&A to make sure I understand the workflow.

If you enjoy this type of collaborative, DIY infrastructure work, let’s get started and see where it leads.
